Hello everyone! I have figured out that no one can progress in life without acting how they are expected to act. Let me elaborate on this: no one is allowed to disrespect anyone, regardless of who they are.
Restaurants
If I had to explain every one of the times I have seen rude treatment in a restaurant, this post would never end. So that the world knows, possibly one of the worst things I think someone can do in a restaurant is disrespect the waitstaff. This includes but is not limited to not tipping them, yelling at them, acting like the mishap with food ordered is entirely their fault, etc. I have to admit, my family has been guilty of disrespecting the waitstaff, but I find it absurd. People are trying to please you and do their job, so make sure to say, “Please and thank you,” when they replace your water, pick up finished plates, etc. Of course, if someone is completely mistreating me, I will tell the manager (but I will not throw a plate of food at my waiter). Don't be picky and fret over little things like not having enough sugar in a chai tea latte. I think we so often forget to be grateful for the things we are given that sometimes we let our minds make us look like fools.

“Oh my goodness, Mom! I hate you! You’re literally the worst person ever and you’re ruining my life. I wish I was born into a new family or never even born at all!” shouts the hormonal teenage girl. What’s wrong with these sentences? I think almost every word of them is bad. Talking to the woman who gave birth to you, who consciously made a decision to raise you, should only be in a respectful manner. We all know that the older we get, the wiser we get (no matter how smart you think you are). If my mom doesn’t let me go to a party because I have homework to do, then I understand because she’s looking out for my best interest. I like to treat every conversation like it’s the last time I’ll talk to someone, because accidents constantly happen. Make sure to tell people you need and love, “I love you,” everyday. No one ever sees complete disaster while it’s coming.
Education or Slander?
I think high school might be one of the places (by far) that I see the most disrespect and rudeness at one time. Let’s start with the classic example of a food fight. What compels someone to throw food and be annoying? Why do people want to throw food at other people? Why does this happen at every school (even mine) in some way, shape, or form? Food fights happen because people don’t have respect. They aren’t grateful for all they’re given. People also never hold the door open for others, never pick up books if someone drops them, and they never treat people the way they want to be treated. I don’t understand people without manners, because if one doesn’t have manners then they aren’t a kind, good, genuine person. Respect is so important, and treating people like they’re people is important. Don’t be arrogant and act better than everyone else. I don't care about who has the nicest body or the most money in the school. I care about people who don't talk bad about, degrade, or disrespect other people. We're all in this together.

Okay, in all seriousness, don't be ignorant and rude. People don't like that. Do little nice things for other people. Hold the door open for a stranger. Compliment someone on how they look today. Kill everyone with kindness. People need to be the kind of person they want to be remembered as.
